Camp Programs

Beginner Program $250

($300 after June 10)

9:00am to 12:15pm

Students with no experience have small and large group classes where they will learn the basics of holding the bow and the violin or cello, basic rhythms and pitches and everything they need to know to get ready to perform at the concert. Parent involvement is important, and you'll learn a lot too!  Crafts and movement class round out the rest of the morning.

Developing Program $250

($300 after June 10)

9:00am to 12:15pm

This is the program for kids who have already been playing, and want to further develop those skills. Group classes for violin or cello focus on refining technique, and group playing to make stronger musicians.  Crafts and a non-instrumental activity fill out the morning.

Orchestra Program $350

($400 after June 10)

9:00am to 3:40pm

With mornings similar to the developing program, the afternoon focuses on orchestral playing. This program is for students who feel confident with their instrument, and also have started learning to read music. This is usually ideal for students in Suzuki book 2 or above.

Chamber Music Program $390

($440 after June 10)

9:00am to 3:40pm

This is for advanced students who have the skills and confidence to play a part on their own usually in a string quartet. Some of the most thrilling moments in classical music come from the interplay of leading and following some pals through a piece of chamber music. Sign up individually, or put your own groups together. These groups can be customized to the playing level of its members.  Mornings involve several coachings, and a non-instrumental class too.  Afternoons are spent in an advanced orchestra.
